Edmund G. Burke Estate Trust Fund donates 50 000 as the second 50 000 payment of a 250 000 total gift to Clermont County Hospital Building Fund. Hospital Commission Chair J Kermit Smith presents the check to Auditor Arnold Stumpf as construction remains on schedule for a 72 bed facility opening in September.
Dog licenses for 1973 go on sale December 11 through January 20 in the Clermont County auditor's office and 18 community locations announced by Auditor Arnold Stumpf. Fee is 2 dollars. kennel licenses are 10 dollars with penalties after January 21.
Clermont County received 50407.42 as the November general relief subsidy confirmed by state auditor Joseph T. Ferguson. The amount supplements federal funded programs including aid for dependent children aid for the blind and aid for the aged.

A Clermont County preservation group led by Judge Louis J. Schwartz aims to obtain title to the Pinkham Farm on SR 125 near Bantam. Salvage rights on the former owners expired. the team plans to use materials from the Rev. John Collins property to restore the mansion and machinery building for future use as a preservation site. The Collins and Pinkham properties were acquired for the East Fork Reservoir project. only the Collins home will be underwater. The group will incorporate with Joyce Dunn as secretary and has formed committees to dismantle the Collins home and plan the Pinkham property use.
The Clermont County Park Board meets to reconsider Pattison land terms for a nature park and to rereadvertise bids on a Kahle Park shelter after a low bid lacked a bid bond. Bids accepted until December 14 with a December 15 bid opening.
