Burglars Foiled by Dog and Lamb at New Richmond
Burglars attempted to force a window at Shaw's furniture factory in New Richmond last Saturday night. They were interrupted by the nervous barking of two dogs that woke neighbor Mr. Lamb who confronted them in a short shirt and long club. The intruders fled to avoid Lamb and the dogs. Joseph H. Branch, a Clermont county elder, died at his Branch Hill home Sunday December 4 in his 93rd year. He spent most of his life in Clermont and fathered a large family, including John H. Branch who served in the Ohio Legislature in 1866-67. He was active in the M E church for over 50 years. funeral today with interment at Miamiville cemetery.
