Charles Rmel Simmons has invited many former county officials or widows of former county officials who will be honored at a special table. Brenda Huddle Rita Fisher and Judy Kocica are co chairmen.

Milford Area Historical Society hosts Christmas at the Museum on Saturday December 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event features a bake shop prizes and dolls as part of holiday decorations at 114 Mair Street Milford.
Milford Alcoholics celebrate their 50th year with an open public meeting on Wednesday December 5 at 8 30 p m at Trinity United Methodist Church on W Wolfpen Pleasant Hill Road. A guest speaker is planned.

Four MSU distance runners led by Steve Gosney junior and Jim Brown burg freshman achieved a 24 hour relay world record at 234 miles in 1977 during a charity run for Olympics. Tim Backus and John Raiders of California joined the effort setting the mark with a total mileage of 234 miles across the event.
Children are invited to write to Santa with their gift lists and include age, name, and address for publication in the Clermont Courier at 385 West Main Street Batavia 45103. Space permits will determine how many letters are printed.
Trustees veto zoning amendments after crowd input on future plans. Moore recalled proposals traced to four to eight years ago before Ford Motor Co chose Batavia, noting the meeting echoed old town meetings with broad input. He warned pyramid zoning would persist as Ford property financial staff William E Cornell confirmed the court meeting proceeds. Copies priced at ten dollars. Contd on page 3.
Democrat Carlier announced his candidacy to challenge Harold Bissantz whose term ends next year. Two commissioner posts are up in 1980. Jerome Wiesenhahn also said he will seek re election to his current post. Carlier, a Stonelick Township trustee for ten years, noted the news conference in February and the year.
County commissioner Bissantz told about 50 CARE members in Olive Branch Church that expansion is a dead issue. Treasurer McKenzie reported 1184.05 dollars owed in legal fees while the group has raised 670 dollars in dues. A private donor could fund a runway extension, and the county already has an Airport Advisory Board.
Williamsburg council weighs four property tracts as Commissioner Wi opposes two annexations. Leo Walker seeks 151 acres east of Williamsburg for a $50 million mixed use project contiguous to village boundaries but slated for residential development only. Commissioner Croswell says rules require meeting conditions before approval. Village has 180 days to reach a final decision as Prosecuting Attorney Jones cites Ohio Revised Code.
