The trial begins Monday for Charles Johnson charged with murdering Robert Clemens on May 13. A jury of a certain size is to be selected from local pool. two previous convictions for the same crime among four examined. Auto Victims In Hillsboro Crash Near Fairview
Philip Rowley 65, a carpenter, died at Hillsboro hospital from a head on collision one mile west of Fairview Sunday night while returning from Cincinnati with his wife. William Seeling and Raleigh Leath also involved. Two young men Richard Doggett and Ralph Kesler, both 20, died later at the hospital after riding in the rumble seat of Joseph Lewis’s Durant coupe.

Ralph Cahill once a Batavia resident and cousin of Mrs. Peter Ballinger died in an auto accident Wednesday. His car collided with Raymond Blackburns truck and struck a telephone pole, breaking his neck. He was an inspector on the A. & P. highway. A wife and son survive him.
