Death of a Prominent Physician Dr James C Kennedy
Dr James Charles Kennedy died at his Batavia home on Tuesday morning December 2 1890 in his 81st year. Born in 1809 in Butler County PA he settled in Clermont County in 1812 lived in Batavia since 1854 and practiced medicine since 1839. He served in the Legislature in 1847 and retired from practice about ten years ago. Known for his kindness charity intellect and frank opinions his death ends a notable career beyond state lines.
