A large crowd estimated over 5000 thronged the Boston fair grounds as sun broke through after rain. Stock displays included Herfords Jerseys and Holsteins, cattle, hogs, poultry, and a strong horse show with fast racing. Exhibits covered farm implements, horticulture, fruit, pantry goods, and crafts while amusements and rides delighted families. A new grand stand impressed visitors and the Buford band provided music as questions about receipts and board contracts lingered.

Furlough Navy Man Killed At Mt Repose Crossing

He lived in Newtonsville and planned to marry Miss Alice Hill in January after his release. The moonlit night and his waiting led to the fatal accident with his remains taken home.
