Fifteen men will report for induction into the armed forces September 4, announced by Bill McManus, Clerk of Selective Service Board No. 14. Names include Richard S. Truske, Edward Welch, Earl Bennett, Leonard Cooper, Richard Kerker, Bruce Johnson, Eugene Wilson, Albert Kellerman, Carroll Phistner, Preddie Panetta, Samuel Ludwig, Joseph Daniel, Donald Weak, Travis Caudill, and Charles Kemmeter. Fifteen more will be notified to report for pre induction physicals on September 9.

Three Countians Hurt In Auto Crash Near Zanesville
A head-on collision five miles east of Zanesville injured three Countians. Mrs. Evelyn Morel of Bethel, with her three children and siblings in law Jerry and Mrs. Smith of Williamsburg, were in the car. Richard Morel 8 suffered bruises. Mrs. Smith head and chest injuries. all were taken to Bethesda Hospital. Mrs Morel and the other two children were not hurt and returned home Sunday. The other car's driver was reported killed.

Rites Set For Candidate's Father In Felicity Ohio

New Richmond Man Sues CIO Union and Picket for 100000
C Everett Wisby of New Richmond sues the CIO United Steel Workers and Local 4522 of Cincinnati for 50000 damages after a strike at American Laundry Machine Co last year. He also sues Augustus Reynolds for 50000 alleging Reynolds, a picket, knocked him unconscious from behind as he walked to the plant. Both suits are in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court. A prior assault charge against Reynolds is pending.

Two Countians Held Under Bond In County Court
In Batavia Ohio two Clermont County men, Raymond Newell and James Hicks, were bound over the grand jury with bonds of 14500 each for breaking and entering and related charges. Carl Nause faces man slaughter charges with a 2000 bond after a chair slaying incident. Newell also faces a concealed weapon count with a 1500 bond. Hicks had prior charges of non support and assault, with 5000 and 1000 bonds respectively.

Joseph Helton 35 of Milford faces manslaughter reckless driving and DUI charges after his car collided with a family vehicle on Kugler Mill Road killing Pamela Davis age 3 and injuring her father James Davis. Helton held on 2000 bond in Hamilton County jail awaiting a hearing before Justice of the Peace Howard Friedricks. The girl died at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in Mariemont.
