Felicity-Franklin School Board approves renewal levy and one mill boost
At a Felicity-Franklin School Board meeting a 6.5 mill renewal levy plus a 2 mill increase was approved for the November ballot under a new Ohio law allowing indefinite duration. The overall rate rises to about 22.2 mills, costing roughly $1.20 per $1,000 of value. a $5,000 home would pay about $6 more annually.

A prowler seen near Norman Turkelson and John Doe homes eluded state and county police during an extensive Monday search. He was spotted in a barn near Mrs. Turkelson's, and by two boys near the Coe home. A kitchen cabinet was ransacked and canned goods scattered. several packs of cigarettes were taken.
Former Druggist Hartman Dies after Heart Ailment
Amelia resident William F. Hartman Sr., a former pharmacist, died at Christ Hospital after a heart ailment. He leaves widow, son William F. Hartman Jr., two daughters Virginia Colonel and Audrey Spitzmiller, two brothers Harry and Arthur E. Hartman, and 15 grandchildren. Funeral services today at 2 p.m. at Powers- Nurre funeral home.
