Bethel Tate School Levy Upheld by Judge Bagby
Judge J. W. Bagby overruled the Rural Taxpayers Association motion for an injunction and allowed the Bethel Tate Consolidated School District levy to be placed on Tate Township tax duplicates. The ruling ends a long dispute over assuming indebtedness on both old and new school buildings and directs the levy to take effect January 1. The case arose after consolidation mandates and two local referendums resolved in favor of assuming the old debt alongside the new addition.
