County Board approves hospital bond vote plan
Clermont County commissioners adopt a resolution to place a 2 million dollar county hospital bond issue on the November 5 ballot. The plan estimates a 1.2 mill levy about four dollars yearly on a 5000 valuation for 22 years plus a .65 mill operating expense levy. All five commissioners favor passage and a campaign will follow.

Must Advertise For Bids On Miami Water System
Prosecutor Ralph A. Hill advised county commissioners that the proposed Miami township water system must have bids advertised for the sinking of three test wells. State law requires competitive bidding for county projects over 1000 dollars, so contracts for sinking wells on the Boy Scout camp property along the Little Miami River must be let by bidding to determine water quantity and quality.

State Auditor James A. Rhodes will distribute the July and August sales tax funds today. Clermont County will miss its August check due to late filings and required certificates. Nineteen counties face similar delays. funds withheld in August will be added to September once proper allocations are filed.

Hunting and Fishing Permits Dominate Clermont County Revenue
Clermont Countians bought 5872 resident hunting licenses and 4174 fishing permits in the last year costing 2 dollars each. Two nonresident hunting licenses at 15 dollars and 21 nonresident permits at 3 dollars were sold. Thirty five temporary nonresident fishing licenses were purchased. Reappraisal Bills Seen For 1960 in Clermont County
County Auditor Earle B. Kincaid told the Board of County Commissioners that Clermont County property revaluation will cost about 106000 and likely not reach owners until 1960.
