D N Cross, born March 10 1856 in Fredonia Licking County Ohio, moved to Union County as a child and pursued teaching since 1876. He served as principal at Columbus Grove 1882 88 New Madison 1884 86 and Moscow 1887, earning a life certificate from the Ohio State Board of Examiners in December.
