State police call for joint effort to curb fatal crashes on I-275
Batavia Lt. Cliff Henson urged Clermont County officials and local police to join Ohio Highway Patrol in a coordinated drive to slow truck traffic on I-275 after a 33 percent rise in road deaths through seven months. Sixteen deaths occurred in 15 rural crashes and four in two village crashes this year, with alcohol involved in eight fatalities.

Bethel Couple Arrested in Clermont County Burglary
Pamela L Bradley and Danny J Bradley of Bethel were jailed in Clermont County on an aggravated burglary charge near Felicity. Deputies arrested them at their home without incident on July 31. Bond set at 20000 dollars cash for each. Aggravated burglary is a first degree felony. Danny Bradley was a Felicity resident.
