Death by self in Chillicothe linked to Britton case
George Britton son of Marion Britton who is in prison for killing his brother in Hillsboro died by suicide with a 38 caliber revolver at the Carson House in Chillicothe last Wednesday. He recently married Miss Blanche Orton of New Vienna just before his death amid worries over family finances and his petition for his father’s pardon. He was well regarded for supporting the family and had been a member of the Knights of P. whose remains were taken to Willetayville for burial.

Olive Branch Gas Well Returns to Deepening Flow
Work on the Olive Branch gas well resumed after an immense rope coil arrived from New York to sink the shaft deeper. About 100 feet were added to the prior 200, with the stream rising to twice its former height, risking nearby property.
