E C Saxton of Goshen is named a director to fill a vacancy on the Lebanon Production Credit Association board. Mary Tone Eppert Dies After Long Local Service
Locust Corner resident and Courier correspondent for 25 years Mary Tone Eppert died at age 63 after recent heart failure. She lived most of her life in Locust Corner, was active in the Methodist church and Christian work, and is survived by husband Raymond Eppert a daughter Alma Quick three granddaughters and two sisters. Funeral services were held at the residence and she was buried at Mt Moriah Cemetery.

Robert A. Flora of Amelia Ohio joined the U S Army in August 1917 at Fort Benjamin Harrison. He served with the 39th Military Police and Ammunition Trains of the 83rd Division at Camp Sherman and acted as Provost Marshal of Chillicothe during 1917 18. In June 1918 he sailed to France with the 83rd Division and joined the Department of Criminal Investigation in the AEF, attended the Paris American Legion caucus after the Armistice, and was discharged as a Captain in August 1919.
