Keen Property Option Signed for Batavia Playground Expansion
The Batavia Athletic and Recreation Association reports an option has been signed to purchase the Keen property next to the school ground to enlarge the playground. If the fall bond issue passes, the Board of Education will buy the land for use by students and the public at an estimated cost of 11 000 dollars. The association aims to complete lighting and equipment funding this season with financially solid status. Officers include William Massey as president and Herbert Hogberg as secretary treasurer, with Dr. F. B. Skeen Louis Pishback and Russell Speidel on the board of directors.
