State pike between Milford and Perintown opened to travel
The Milford to Perintown state pike, recently completed and turned over to the State, is now open for travel. Contractor Charles Wright of Cincinnati oversaw work after a washout on the Little Miami river bridge caused a temporary blockade, which autoists removed. The road is considered in good condition and satisfactory to the traveling public.

Attorney General Turner ruled that the new license law becomes effective September 8 if no referendum is filed and appointing boards meet September 9. Boards include county commissioners presidents, recorders, and clerks. Clermont and Clinton form a district likely meeting in Wilmington. New recorders assume duties immediately, while current recorders serve only two days of the transition. Clermont will be represented by reelected officials except the president of the county commissioners board.

Grangers Hold County Grange Picnic at Boston Fair Grounds
The county Granges held an all day picnic at the Boston Fair Grounds on Saturday with about 1600 attendees. County Commissioners Meet Approve Road Repairs and Contracts
