Drama Club to stage The Reluctant Debutante at Batavia High
Batavia High School Drama Club presents The Reluctant Debutante directed by Miss Sandra Harmon on April 26 and 28 at 8:00 p.m. in Batavia Junior High Auditorium with cast including Mike Mullen Beth Jamieson Vicki McCormick Tara Tyler Molly Holberg Nick Ross John Hartman and Vicki Hamilton. The event precedes a spring rummage sale by Salem Methodist Church on May 2 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Salem Sutton corner Mt Washington. Sally Blocher joins Alpha Xi Delta at Ohio Northern University Ada on April 7, daughter of Paul and Mrs. Blocher of Batavia.

Horticulturist Club Speaker Demo at Batavia Garden Meeting
Horticulturist Harry Bailbourne spoke on Plant Propagation and Pruning at the Batavia Garden Club on April 15. He demonstrated starting seedlings and cuttings and showed charts for pruning trees and shrubs. Mrs. Catherine Friend said the public library has 90 gardening books. A card party at St Philomena Church Stonelick, hosted by parish members, is set for April 28 at 8:15 p.m.

The Owensville Engineers held their third meeting at leader Paul Carlier’s home on March 14 with 18 members present. Members received boards to paint for the May 2 gathering. A skating party occurred on April 11, and thanks are given to parents for rides and to all who bought Easter eggs.
