Retarded Children To Get State Help
The Tri County Council for Retarded Children will receive about 240 per year for 12 students in the Pleasant Plain special class from the State Department of Education. Corporal dies. brother hurt in Route 50 crash near Perintown
Air Force Corporal Alfred H. Alston, 31, of Washington DC, was killed when the car veered off Route 50 and hit a tree. His brother Lieutenant Gilbert C. Alston, 23, a jet pilot, was hospitalized in serious condition at Christ Hospital. The brothers were traveling to duty in Korea from Turner Air Force Base in Albany, Georgia, and had stopped in DC to visit parents in Los Angeles. Police could not determine who was driving.
