Body Found in River Establishes Identity
The body of Seymour Crowder, 42, was found in the Ohio River at New Richland. John Platt, 16, first spotted the body and notified Robert Bodkin, insurance agent, who alerted Police Chief Charles Spaulding. Crowder, single, lived with sister Elva Turner. Brother-in-law Joseph Gorham said Crowder had been missing about three weeks. Dr. Harry Breuer, acting coroner, conducted a preliminary examination before autopsy at Cincinnati General Hospital.
