Easter was duly observed at Batavia churches with strong crowds and fine music. Rev Burdsall delivered an instructional sermon at the M E church, where Sunday school neared 300 and missions offerings reached 61 dollars, the largest in church history. The day featured noble floral decorations, a new orchestra, and thanks to donors. Other churches including Presbyterian, German U B, Holy Trinity, and several colored congregations reported well attended services and increasing memberships.
