Fire Destroys Robinson Home Near Amelia
The country home of James I. Robinson near Amelia was completely burned last Wednesday. Only a few items were saved and insurance will cover the loss. Neighbors and the Williamsville and Anderson Township fire departments aided in saving belongings and preventing further damage to outbuildings. The Robisons had lived there 24 years and the home was one of four large houses in the area built in 1860 that suffered destruction.

Funeral Services Held Monday for Mrs DrumMond
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in Williamsburg for Mrs Blanche Drummond at Lorado. Her body was found Sunday evening in Solomon's Creek near Fayetteville by a boy fishing. She had been missing since March 8 and her son Vernon Drummond is jailed in Clermont County on a 1000 dollar bond for failure to support her. An inquest at Monroe Funeral Home in Milford found no foul play and death listed as drowning. Surviving relatives include sister Mrs Maggie Miller and brothers Roy C Beckler and Herman Beckler. Clermont County officials plan further investigation.

Local Pickup Truck Crash Injures Batavia and Bethel Residents
A collision on U S Route 125 near Bethel involved a pickup driven by Ralph Liming 21 of Batavia and a car driven by Virtus Smith 28 of Bethel. Liming suffered severe head cuts and a severed artery while Jane Gardner sustained a fractured vertebra. Other occupants were Philip Gardner 26 Alice Carter 16 Ruth Gardner 26 in the truck. Anna Smith 23 and O Del Whell 21 in the car. Smith’s car overturned. Patrolman Smith of Georgetown and Dr. C M Simmons of Bethel attended the injured.
