The National Youth Administration announces NYA project work in Clermont county to aid domestic improvements and defense construction. Projects include Batavia high School additions and Mulberry school work with 250 youth planned, plus facilities for Farm Security Administration and plans at Felicity and New Richmond. Batavia PTA to Meet with Election and Program Tonight

The Batavia Parent Teacher Association plans a Thursday 8 PM meeting in the school auditorium. Officers will be elected, with floor nominations and ballots. Granville Brunaugh Dies in Springfield

Granville Brunaugh died at his Findlay Ohio home on Thursday April 10 from a heart attack. He had lived in Batavia with his grandmother Mrs. Helen Brunaugh and was the grandson of former Batavia Probate Judge James Brunaugh. He is noted as the son of Harry Brunaugh, deceased, and was buried Saturday in Springfield Ohio.

Linnie Bailey Arrested After Gun Incident at Locust Corners

Linnie Bailey, 56, of Locust Corners, drank heavily and grabbed Herbie Wests gun during a conversation. He fired once and claimed the gun kept firing. West fled to summon help. Bailey was jailed, arraigned, and sentenced to ten days with probation.

Charles L. Lee will demonstrate stopping distances for cars at varying speeds at Batavia High School on Monday April 21 at 2 o clock. A 30 minute lecture precedes the demonstration in the auditorium.
