Four men seized about $2763 from Amelia State Bank at 9 am last Monday after blocking the cashier and ordering Miss Emma Eppert to refrain from moving. A tan sedan left the scene toward Cincinnati, with investigators later tracing to Williamsville and Cincinnati. No clue exists at press time.

Juniors-Seniors Night at Batavia High School
The Batavia High School Juniors hosted the Seniors in the auditorium for an elaborate year end program and dinner. A toastmaster introduction by Mr. Deter opened proceedings followed by welcomes from Miss Blakey and Mr. Lail. The program featured speeches, a presentation of the class staff, and a billed menu including creamed chicken in patty shells, buttered peas, mashed potatoes, rolls, ice cream, cake and mints.

English Letter From Linehow Mission Replying To Changes And Loss
A foreign letter from Linehow Canton China dated January 30 1930 reflects on changes in the mission field over two and a half years. It describes deaths including Wong Pui Yen known as Bronson Mead, a cholera epidemic in 1902, and the adoption of Mead as a California memorial beneficiary. The account covers village elderly Christians, outstations, and the Canton mission school where Mead served as head teacher before his murder near the Station compound.
