Passing of a Prominent Citizen Jacob Jackson
The Courier reports the death of Jacob Jackson of Nicholaville who died at midnight Sunday April 8 at age 92. He remained physically strong and mentally clear, ran his business with firmness, and was known as a charitable Christian. Funeral services were held at Spring Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Spurrier and Dolby, burial in Monroe Cemetery. He leaves three daughters, two sons, grand children and many friends. Artist James Hillen and assistants decorate the Recorder’s office as a deed worthy of record.
