A Cleveland area pastor Rev Brown of Loveland is jailed on charges related to his fifteen year old step-daughter and her baby. The report details coercion, past assaults, and a long pattern of alleged abuse involving the woman Annie and child. Also noted is the Owensville couple R E and Mrs. Alrey celebrating their seventeenth wedding anniversary with a large family gathering and dinner.

John N. Clark’s wagon carrying straw toppled spilling its load onto the rear horses near Milford station. The frightened team bolted through a street and bridge toward the post office before a hub line and a citizen’s shed stopped them. Clark was shaken but uninjured.

George Walker longtime resident near Dell Palma died last Saturday at his residence aged 75. Funeral at Presbyterian church Monday afternoon. Sarah Nichols widow of Jonathan B Nichols died March 2 aged about 85. Born May 14 1801 daughter of Rev Andrews and Lucy McClain married to Jonathan B Nichols November 26 1835. She and husband farmed the Nichola homestead for nearly fifty years. She joined the M E church at age twelve and aided pastors during illness. Four children survive A Benson 44 C Minerva 20 Willam N and L Hamline. Funeral by Rev Campbell Taurel on the 25th with burial in nearby cemetery.
