Hiram Tim Reeves of Hillsboro and Bert Gantz were arrested last week for illegal sale of intoxicating liquors. Reeves pleaded guilty, fined 100 dollars plus costs, paid part of the fine, and settled the rest. Gantz was found guilty, fined 100 dollars plus costs, and jailed in Cincinnati jail after inability to settle. Reeves ran a blacksmith shop on West Main Street where six quarts of whiskey were found. Gantz assisted Reeves in disposing of the liquor.
