Ralph L. Clyburn of 505 Gregory Dr is named vice chair in the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce led Clean-Up Paint-Up and Beautify Campaign set for May 4 to 10. He serves as Suburban Advertising Supervisor for Cincinnati Suburban Telephone Co and begins his third year with the city wide effort after early 60s involvement in the Speakers' Bureau and downtown projects. The 1964 slogan is Action Action Is The Cry Clean-Up Paint-Up Beautify.

Batavia School Bond Issue Fails

The Batavia School bond proposal of 336000 dollars failed Tuesday with 324 voting yes and 241 no, short of the 14 percent majority. School board president Lou Wolf said the issue will return on the ballot at the earliest opportunity to fund the first phase of a two step plan to build a new high school. County Seeks Federal Aid For Flood Damage

Clermont County officials met March 26 with Civil Defense and state representatives in Cincinnati to discuss a federal aid request of 354 793 for public property flood damage. The committee outlined eligible uses and noted an initial 250 000 state grant with officials from Ohio Civil Defense and the U S Army Engineers attending.

Industry Funds Sought At Burg

The Williams burg Industrial Development Corporation plans a major fund drive to expand the Cincinnati Box and Partition Co in Williamsburg. An Area Redevelopment Administration loan of 137845 plus 42760 from Clermont National Bank and 13195 from stock sales aims to cover a 33195 loan commitment. A public meeting at Williamsburg High School on April 8 at 7 30 p m will complete stock sales and elect directors. The project will create about 30 jobs at start rising to 60 soon, with 10 key personnel brought from Cincinnati. The Clermont County Humane Society will meet April 7 at 7 30 p m in Batavia Court House.
