George Harrison Henderson Jr. 20, of Batavia died in Bethesda hospital Cincinnati after a hit-and-run crash on Montgomery and Gailbrath Roads. He was en route to work at Wright Aero in Lockland with companions. The unidentified car struck and fled, injuring several occupants. Henderson died from internal injuries, with funeral held at Batavia cemetery.

Six carloads of about 7 000 bushels of number 2 hard winter wheat from the western territory shipped to Clermont. The coop will deliver to farms at five cents per hundred weight. unloading and warehouse storage may raise price. This action stabilizes the feed market and encourages higher production.
