Legislators Kill Kile And Right to Work Bill

The Kile bill to curb Labor’s political voice was buried after a lengthy GOP caucus. Bipartisan opposition from Democrats and many Republicans led to the bill’s abandonment for the current session. Hamilton County legislators opposed it, with names listed including Bettman, McClure, Glandorf, Bullock, and Simmonds. Louis J. Schneider Jr. voted FOR in committee. Sullivan Favors Night Court As Help to Working People

Morris G. Sullivan, 32, a Price Hill attorney and Democratic candidate for Cincinnati Municipal Court judge, campaign emphasis on evening Traffic Court sessions to aid workers. CIO Plea for Federal Minimum Wage Hike to 1 25

The CIO urged Congress to raise federal minimum wage to 1.25 an hour and expand coverage.
