Inmate claims guards ignored labor in Milwaukee jail
Milwaukee inmate Karyn Tess says she gave birth alone in her cell after calling for a nurse at 6 pm and being ignored for hours. She alleges a nurse dismissed labor, guards threatened discipline, and the baby was born with the umbilical cord around its neck. Superintendent Lotter says an investigation will occur and that care was attempted.
