Half of Elyria CETA workers laid off as funding ends
More than half of Elyria based CETA staff, 39 workers, were temporarily laid off Friday as federal funding expires at midnight and their employing agencies decline to cover salaries. Schools, Betterway Inc and the Neighborhood Association are among those affected.
