In Syracuse Roosevelt blasts opponents in a fierce campaign talk denouncing Communism as a red herring. He defends his record and Democratic loyalty while scolding Republican critics and previewing a Pittsburgh address.
Service Director I. D. on announced a planned water shut off from the ims property north to Elyria nne tomorrow from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. due to sections on the new 30 inch main. West Side service was off briefly last night but restored this morning to permit tapping the 20 inch main into the new line.
The forecast calls for cloudy skies with rain tonight, mainly in the east portion. Temperatures stay mild with little risk of ice.

Clarence Mottke age 41 of Berlin Heights remained in critical condition at Elyria Memorial Hospital after a traffic crash east of Ridgeville Monday night. Fred Laundon age 60 of Sugar Ridge Road is listed as improving after being struck by a car while walking near his home Saturday night.
