Artist rescues statues from closing Cleveland churches
Lou McClung, owner of Lusso Studio and Lusso Statuary, bought a decommissioned church the 104-year-old St Hedwig to house the Museum of Divine Statues. He restores and displays religious statues from closed parishes, many dating over a century, and funds the effort from his own pocket. The project preserves parish history and offers close views of revered pieces once housed in Cleveland Diocese churches.
