Project 44 honors late Butler teammate through marrow drive
Avon Lake Ohio Celtics coach Brad Stevens hails Chase Stigall for donating bone marrow to help a 2 year old in August. The effort honors Andrew Smith who died in January and inspired Project 44 to recruit marrow donors, aiming to save 44 lives with 18,000 registrants. Samantha Smith urges signups as registry matches can take years and about 1000 die annually awaiting a match. Contact details for Jon Wysochanski are provided.
