A Tulsa consulting firm hired by Cleveland City Council warns lack of expansion room may force major airlines to abandon service at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport by 1985. Long range jets would need a new Greater Cleveland facility or a large site in Lorain or Summit counties. the report backs a $41 million expansion plan including terminal doubling, new baggage and ticket facilities, a multi level parking garage, and expanded concourses.
Viet Cong terrorists bomb Saigon central market killing a woman and wounding 13 as a government official is stabbed and shot in his home. Allied troops seal Saigon with the strongest anti infiltrations ring in four months and search vehicles for contraband. US casualties rise with 1,762 wounded and 260 dead in the week. In all, 338,500 US troops are in Vietnam.
The Chronicle Telegram announces a new Sunday edition price and seven edition weekly package at 60 cents, lower than Cleveland papers. The change includes delivery staff efforts and a weekly home and motor route minimum of 60 cents, with a retail value of 75 cents for the seven editions.

PFC Norman Jones Sr. of Elyria will be awarded the Bronze Star Medal and the Purple Heart posthumously on Monday. Lt. George Moss will present the honors to his parents from St 244 West River S after Jones was killed in a June 13 combat in Vietnam with the 103rd Airborne Division, Co. D. He had served in Vietnam since March 5 and is survived by his parents, one brother, and five sisters.
