AF officer admits bombing two suburban stores
Air Force Lt. William L. Harris pleaded guilty in Common Pleas Court to bombing two suburban department stores on August 15 as a diversion for robbery. He received 12 to 65 years and was ordered to Mansfield Reformatory. Thirteen people were injured in the blasts at J.C. Penney's and Zayres. the Penney's explosion also damaged a neighboring liquor store. Property damage was estimated at $123,000.
