Lynn Burge Dead At Lorain
Lynn Vo Burge 59 local businessman and brother of State Representative Leslie Burge died at Cleveland Clinic yesterday after a heart attack. He was associated with Burge Building Co for 20 years and active in many Lorain organizations. Funeral Saturday at 2 pm from Berchlin-Cooley Funeral Home with burial in Brighton Cemetery.

Death calls former Lorain postmaster Moriarty
William Joseph Moriarty 71 of 1170 Eighth St died yesterday afternoon. He was Lorain postmaster from February 1935 to August 1950 and long active in Democratic circles. Formerly manager of the mens furnishing department at Metzger and Robinson, he stayed with the store until its 1931 closure. Survivors include his wife Mary, three sons J Akron, Robert E Chicago and Richard J Lorain, and daughter Mrs T L Smith Lorain, plus nine grandchildren. Services set for 10 am Saturday at St Anthony Church.

Polio Sufferer Still Poor At Hospital
Polio cases fill Lorain County hospitals as Cmds report four Elyria and nine Lorain residents ill. Mrs Benedict, 25, of Beaver Park remains poor at Cleveland City Hospital with polio. Six-year-olds Charles Nelson and Edward Romanski are in fair condition, along with Elyria’s Gerald Schubert, 3, in fair condition. A basement fire at the Lake Avenue area caused unspecified damage. Rev. Ulrich noted possible arson but no fire department call.
