Avon Lake Woman Violet Tribby Dies in Crossing Crash

Mrs. Violet Tribby, 45, of 171 Parkwood Dr Avon Lake, died from skull fracture and internal injuries after a freight train collision at a crossing three miles south of Coshocton. Her husband Samuel J., 47, was hospitalized. Tribby had worked for Goodyear Rubber Co. and is survived by her mother Annie Cowie sister Elva B Cowie and three brothers. The couple were en route from Lakewood to Coshocton when the crash occurred. Funeral services set for 3 p.m. Saturday at Lakewood with burial in Lakewood Park Cemetery.
