Drowning Tragedy In Lorain Black River
Lorain police investigate the death of Judy Ellen Stern a first grade student of St Anthony school Lorain whose body was found in the Black River near the National Tube Company turning basin near 1104 last night. The child was last seen missing from 530 pm as she and her brother Larry 15 searched along the river. Neighbors joined the search and the Coast Guard recovered the body about five feet from shore in seven foot deep water. Judy is survived by her parents two sisters Marilyn and Jean and three brothers Larry Philip and James. Her body was taken to Reichlin Cooley Funeral Home Lorain awaiting funeral arrangements.
