Gas Station Holdup Yields 416 Dollars

An armed man in overalls and a denim cap robbed Russell Hensley at his gas station on Route 254 near Elyria Avenue at 6 30 am taking 416 dollars. The suspect fled to a waiting car with another man present. This marks a new theft at the station since the owner took over two years ago.

Car Crash At Route 254 58 Intersection Injures Three

Three people were hurt in a two vehicle crash at the Route 254 and 58 intersection at about 11 20 p m Saturday. Joseph Demko 36 of Cleveland is in critical condition with skull fracture and multiple injuries. Mary Schamph 19 of Norwalk suffers serious facial injuries and a broken nose. Helen Fisher of Lorain sustained widespread bruises and severe shock. Demko drove west on Route 254 and did not stop, colliding with Walter Martz 34 of Norwalk who was turning right on Route 58. both cars were demolished.

Benesh Trial To Begin Tuesday

Gerald Benesh, operator of a health establishment on Route 611 in Avon, faces four counts of practicing medicine without a certificate.
