Report Berredin To Meet Security Board's Demands
COLUMBUS Sept 73 Henry LE Berredin chief of the Ole Aid top the Aged Division offered no comment on reports he capitulated to Federal Social Security Board demands to reorganize the state pensions division. After a meeting with Berredin the Ohio Federation of Labor telegraphed A J Altmeyer that he agreed to meet the board requirements. The board had charged the division was permeated with politics, inefficient and mismanaged and called for cleanup or lose federal funds. The governor disputed the board and Berredin had earlier supported the governor's stance. Board demands include appointing a qualified CEO, replacing provisional staff, simplifying organization and procedures, establishing policy standards, instructing staff, assigning more personnel to local offices, and ensuring thorough eligibility investigations and records.
