Elyria police say a 17 year old mother, Elizabeth White, and her 3 month old daughter Kayla were shot at while stopped at a Lake Avenue West River Road light. White's father said they were very lucky, and the case remains under investigation.
Lorain police say a woman, Burns, was leaving the Lorain National Bank on Meister Road at about 4 pm Thursday when a man, Rodriguez, called from another car and grabbed Burns’ purse. After a struggle in the parking lot the suspect fled with Burns’ purse, a plate was noted, and investigators recovered the purse from Rodriguez’s car. Rodriguez faces aggravated robbery and aggravated vehicular assault charges.
