Gilligan warns Ohio legislature over school funding deadline
Gov John Gilligan said the state may miss the first school foundation payment if new funds are not authorized by Thursday. He urged the legislature to act to prevent financial disaster for Ohio public schools this fall. State Auditor Ferguson warned several Exempted Village districts may close classrooms by early December without extra money.
