U S planes strike North Vietnam in heavy raid
Up to 250 American combat planes attacked targets inside North Vietnam in a six hour operation near the DMZ. Deadly crash claims Varhola couple on Ohio turnpike
Stephen Varhola, 62, and his wife Bernice, 47, of Crystal Falls Michigan, died in a crash on the Ohio Turnpike after rain drenched driving conditions. State patrol said Varhola lost control, the car struck a support, and both were pronounced dead at Elyria Memorial Hospital. They ran a Crystal Falls bakery. funeral arrangements were made with Plowe Funeral Home after Sudro-Curtis transferred the bodies.
