South Amherst Rotary Club forms first chartered civic group
The South Amherst Rotary Club, now the village's first chartered civic organization, met in a restaurant banquet room with 20 male members. Led by Greg Trocchia, the group aims to fund scholarships, combat drug abuse in schools, and support local causes while planning a village park. Members span Vermilion, Oberlin, Lorain, and Amherst, with $2,000 in treasury and goals to raise funds.
