Miss Saigon headed for Broadway after casting pact
Broadway musical Miss Saigon resumes next spring after producer Cameron Mackintosh and Actors Equity reach a casting agreement. The plan allows two non American Asian actors for a year and restricts yellow face makeup, with efforts to recruit Asian American performers for smaller roles and for two other long running shows. Equity previously banned white actor Jonathan Pryce from the lead role.
