Ford offshoots bring 90 jobs to Ohio truck plant area
Wheeler Trucking will employ up to 90 drivers to transport new F-650 and F-750 trucks from Ford's Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake, Sheffield, and Sheffield Lake. The plant now runs five trucks per hour with plans to increase, while Manning Equipment adds about 40 local jobs and a third offshoot may follow. The Ford investment totals 168 million dollars and supports over 1,000 saved jobs.
