Area woman on Delta hijack returns from Cuba
Deborah Thomas, 19, a Cleveland State University student, was aboard a Delta 727 hijacked Saturday night by two men. The plane diverted to Havana, Cuba, where she stayed about 2 1/2 hours before continuing toward Cleveland, arriving around noon Sunday. Her family faced a tense but ultimately hopeful scene as they learned she was safe.
