St Agnes Church Room Damaged In Two Alarm Blaze
A two alarm fire at St Agnes Church on Lake Avenue damaged the north foyer room used for registration and storage. Heat spread to doors, ceiling, and walls. contents including a registration counter and books were destroyed. Fire damaged the organ loft area. cause under investigation with high damage expected. A separate garage blaze at Davis Cafe on Lake Avenue and Foster followed, igniting a wooden shelf and burning the south garage wall. An overheated journal box caused a fire near Huron Street on a gondola car. Firefighters also rushed to a 336 Sixteenth Street alarm when paint burned off a gas heater cabinet.

Fire damages LaGrange home attic blaze today
Fire of undetermined origin damaged the attic of a two family ranch on Forest Street in LaGrange at 9 a m. Smoke and water damaged the lower floor. The Blakeslee and Rassler families occupy the residence. Fire Chief Vernon Rundle said the fire started in the attic. Fifteen firefighters and three trucks responded.
