Enforced Replevin Order Sparks Outrageous Home Talent Rodeo
A replevin action led by Emma Emerick and attorney Otto Mischka ended in a chaotic outdoor scene on Gulf Road in Sheffield Village as three cows resisted seizure. Constable Louis Stolzenburg, deputy sheriffs, and locals chased two cows into a barn while a third escaped into fields, with fences, gates, and cars blocking access and a backfire spooking the herd. Stolzenburg was knocked down and injured briefly as the animals bolted, leaving the third cow at large and the episode a far from smooth enforcement of the court order.
